The Challenge

The Standards
PCI Security Standards Council® set the standards for which Bulletproof used to assist in the onboarding of Digitain’s client. PCI-DSS was developed by the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI-SSC), which was formed by the major payment card brands: American Express, Discover, JCB, MasterCard, and Visa. The council was founded in 2006 to develop and maintain common security standards to protect cardholder data, with PCI-DSS version 1.0 initially released by the brands in 2004.
Additionally, PCI-DSS facilitates the broad adoption of consistent data security measures globally. They provide a baseline of technical and operational requirements designed to protect payment account data. PCI DSS is required for any organization, merchant, or service provider that accepts, stores, transmits, or processes payment cardholder data.
