LAS VEGAS, NV (March 9, 2017) – In a little less than one week, regulators, operators and gaming experts will join together to generate great ideas at the 17th annual North American Regulators Roundtable. The two-day, educational conference – hosted by Gaming Laboratories International’s (GLI®) world-renowned training program, GLI University® – will be held March 15-16, 2017 at Luxor Las Vegas and feature timely discussions focused on emerging technologies and industry challenges. The format provides attendees with a unique opportunity to converse with one another and obtain insights into industry advances.
GLI Director of Client Services Michael Capen said, “The topics at this year’s Regulators Roundtable have been derived from not only questions that our clients ask on a regular basis, but also current events that are taking place in the gaming industry. We think that it is important to share with regulators and operators upcoming trends and challenges that they can expect to face in the future and prepare for ahead of time.”
High-level topics featured at this year’s conference include:
Keynoting the event is Larry Potts, Scientific Games’ Senior Vice President Chief Compliance Officer, who will address the timely and important topic of taking risks. Potts brings an interesting story and unique experience to the Regulators Roundtable. He joined Scientific Games in 2004 after retiring as a Deputy Director from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Having worked violent crime, white collar crime and organized crime cases as Street Agent, he applies a diverse set of skills to his current position, allowing him to effectively manage regulatory compliance, investigations and corporate security.
In addition to general sessions, concurrent breakout sessions will be offered. One of the options will be a new “GLI Innovation Room,” which allows hands-on, personal experiences to make this year’s Regulators Roundtable meaningful and customized to each and every attendee. The room will be staffed with experts to answer questions and provide live demonstrations. Attendees will also be able to visit the “Ask the Experts Lounge,” which is an open forum and discussion between experts and attendees on any gaming-related topic.
GLI is committed to enhancing its attendees’ Regulators Roundtable experience, and to make this year’s conference even more interactive, organizers have introduced a new mobile application for attendees to use during the event. Available for smartphones with Apple® and Android™ operating systems, the mobile application will heighten the Regulators Roundtable experience and include exciting interactive features. Attendees will be able to start or continue the conversation on an event social media wall (#GLIRT17), participate in live polls, communicate with fellow attendees and/or GLI experts, read speaker biographies and access the event agenda.
GLI is proud to offer this informational and diverse conference. More information about the Regulators Roundtable, including agenda, registration and hotel information, can be found at www.gaminglabs.com/roundtable2017.
