The Situation
Swedish gaming development company, Gaming Corps, who develop original content for iGaming and gaming, found themselves in an enviable position when the demand for their games exceeded their initial forecast. That meant they needed to accelerate their plans to enter into multiple new markets, including Portugal, Spain, Malta, Italy, Denmark, Greece, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, and Croatia, on top of the MGA and Sweden, where they were previously certified. The question was, how could Gaming Corps meet their aggressive expansion plans with new technical requirements without compromising on quality and compliance.
The Challenge
Gaming Corps understood that if they were going to get multiple games certified in numerous jurisdictions within a matter of months, they needed to work with a trusted testing lab who not only had the expertise in each of the markets they were targeting, but also had the ability to mobilize a team at short notice. Gaming Corps’ requirement was to rapidly add an extension to their team that would lead them through the complex processes, utilising the implementation of best practices that remains critical to the company’s ethos.
GLI had initially been engaged by Gaming Corps to certify a number of games for release in the Romanian market, and following the successful completion of that project, Gaming Corps was confident that GLI would deliver what they needed, when they said they would.
The Action
The initial strategy was fairly straightforward, to apply GLI’s tried and tested certification process, identify any potential issues early on, and work with the Gaming Corps team to build their knowledge and understanding of the markets it was entering. All with a view to ensuring it would meet and exceed the various regulators’ requirements in a seamless and effective way, with the minimum impact on its game-delivery timelines. It was also important for Gaming Corps that the GLI team help it to develop best practice internal compliance processes in order to futureproof upcoming game releases and market entries.
GLI helped them to develop a simple workflow that gave the GLI team early visibility on the key milestones, checkpoints, and delivery dates, making the end-to-end process as smooth and quick as possible. It ensured there were no surprises and both sides were working to one plan.
Results
After 12 months of working together, GLI has supported Gaming Corps in certifying over 35 games in 10 new markets and continues to work with them on new games and RNGs every month as an ongoing programme of expansion for the organization.
Gaming Corps has transformed the way they roadmap new content to ensure they have the new certification requirements factored in from the outset. This has streamlined their end-to-end process, enabling them to get their games to market much quicker with support from GLI. This resulted in them managing the multiple market entries with a small internal team while also expanding their portfolio into new content types.
