LAS VEGAS (February 20, 2018) – North America’s gaming regulators are facing a rapidly changing gaming landscape, and at its 18th annual Regulators Roundtable, Gaming Laboratories International (GLI®) will help to bring clarity and focus to today’s most pressing issues.
The Roundtable, presented by GLI University®, will help elevate attendees’ understanding of new and emerging technologies through a mix of panel discussions, live presentations, intimate breakout sessions, and hands-on demonstrations.
“Both technology and consumer behavior in the broader entertainment industry are evolving at a breakneck pace. That means the gaming industry must also evolve to remain competitive against other entertainment offerings. This is why we produce the Roundtable – to shine a bright spotlight on technological trends so that regulators across North America can be as informed and prepared as possible for the industry of tomorrow,” said GLI President and CEO James Maida.
The Regulators Roundtable takes place March 7 and 8 at Luxor Las Vegas and will feature high-level discussions on the potential regulator impact of topics such as advanced game concepts, blockchain technology, cryptocurrency, cybersecurity issues, gaming legislation, skill-based gaming, sports betting and wagering, and technical standards development.
Delivering the keynote address is Vegas Golden Knights President Kerry Bubolz. The Vegas Golden Knights is one of the most successful expansion franchises in sports history, and Bubolz will address major league sports and specifically how the Vegas Golden Knights impact Las Vegas.
In addition to discussions on the main stage, the Roundtable will feature crucial breakout sessions. Plus, back for its second year, the Innovation Room is a mini-lab for up-close and hands-on demonstrations. Guest suppliers will help regulators understand their latest creations, while GLI’s Bulletproof and Kobetron teams will present must-have services and tools for regulators.
