As the leader of GLI’s® esports program, Alan K. Scott brings a unique combination of professional capabilities, extensive videogame and esports experience, and paradigm shifting perspective to his distinctive role within GLI.
Alan has been immersed in the world of videogames since childhood. An avid gamer, he originally strove to be a game designer. He has also served as a play-by-play esports caster for various events, and consultant for aspiring videogame streamers. Additionally, Alan is a highly ranked player in his own right.
At GLI, Alan has leveraged his technical knowledge of computer systems and his personal videogame and esports experience to develop dedicated esports classes for GLI University® helping to bridge the technological and cultural gap between regulators, operators, and incoming patrons, whilst pioneering GLI’s involvement in the space. Furthermore, he’s coordinated several internal tournaments to introduce GLI employees to esports.
Alan began his GLI career in 2016 as an Engineering Test Technician before advancing to Compliance. While in Engineering, he worked on products from various manufacturers, including Spielo, Sega Sammy, Bally, and Everi. With a background in computer engineering, Alan specialized in interoperability, protocol, and emulation testing.
